Lake Follin

A band of brigands tries to turn over a new leaf by harvesting Lake Follin's bounteous (and valuable) assortment of shellfish. A mercenary captain seeks to locate and reclaim a magic item for his noble patron. And a cadre of priests dedicated to a goddess of the waters have taken to the defense of mollusks and crustaceans by enlarging some of them to monstrous sizes, to the peril of fishers and trade vessels alike. All perfectly routine happenings in a world chock-full of adventure!

This wilderness crawl is appropriate for all levels, as the region's major challenges can be overcome without relying on combat. However, if combat does occur it is mostly balanced for mid-level characters.  Monster stats, encounter resolution, and special treasures are kept largely abstract so the DM can use whichever statistics are appropriate for the edition of the game their group plays.
